As we step into September, we take a moment to appreciate how far we’ve come.

In just 8 months, we’ve appeared across the Western Cape in the District, Regional, High and Labour Courts, handling criminal, civil and labour matters, divorces, child and spousal maintenance, Children’s Court matters and evictions — together with CCMA hearings and arbitrations, as well as University disciplinary hearings.
Different courts. Different forums. Different challenges. One commitment: showing up and doing the work!

To every client who has trusted us with their matter — thank you for your trust, patience and continued support. 🙏🏾

September marks a new month and another opportunity to keep building. Here’s to finishing the final stretch of 2026 strong and ending the year with a bang! 🌻💪🏾⚖️

Urgent application successful. ⚖️

Our client discovered on TikTok that their home was on auction and advertised as vacant while they were out of the province. We acted urgently, together with our briefing counsel, Adv. Mkentane, to suspend the sale. The Court granted the order in our client's favour.

Justice cannot wait 🤲🏾⚖️

Today we successfully represented our client in a maintenance court application for the discharge of an existing maintenance order.

After presenting sworn affidavits, supporting documentation and an independent social worker's report confirming that the child is now residing with and being cared for by our client, the Court was satisfied that the circumstances had materially changed and ordered that the maintenance order be discharged with immediate effect. 💪🏾⚖️

New month, back-to-back hearings and a busy court calendar ahead. Up for the task. 💪🏾⚖️

It's been a Family Law and Women Power week at Pinyane Attorneys Inc.

This week saw us successfully defend against a baseless spousal maintenance application, fight for the recognition of a valid customary marriage, challenge the validity of an antenuptial contract and a civil marriage, and finally bring a long-standing divorce matter to settlement.

A rewarding week of standing up for women and families across our courts. 💪🏾⚖️

Today we appeared before the Honourable Judge Makhura at the Labour Court for an interlocutory application hearing. We were fully prepared to argue our case, however the Court identified issues relating to the CCMA referral certificate and the matter has now been referred back to the CCMA for the unfair dismissal dispute to be properly dealt with.

We remain confident in our client’s case and stand ready to take the matter all the way back to the Labour Court should no favourable settlement be reached ⚖️
