🔑 Moving in before transfer?

Early occupation can be convenient for buyers and sellers, but it is important to remember that occupation and ownership are not the same thing.

Until transfer is registered at the Deeds Office, the seller remains the registered owner. This means occupational rent, risk, maintenance, insurance and delays should be clearly agreed in writing before the keys are handed over.
