Some people are known for the impact they make, both through their work and the mindset they bring every day. Zayne Okkers, our Team Manager: BSC, is one of them. In this edition of Get to Know, we shine the spotlight on Zayne and the person behind the role.
Q:What advice would you give to someone considering joining Future Green Dot?
A:The recipe for success here is very simple: have a can-do attitude, put in the elbow grease, and get the work done. You will undoubtedly reap the rewards.
Q:How do you stay motivated during challenging times at work?
A:I remind myself why I’m here: to build a life worth living for myself and my loved ones. If that can’t motivate you, nothing will. Additionally, I strive to be an asset to the business—never dead weight.
Q: What’s the most valuable career advice you’ve ever received?
A:Treat your employer like they are your customer. You wouldn’t give a client subpar service, so whatever you do, do it properly. Happy clients compensate happily.
Q:What is one goal you’re currently working toward, either personally or professionally?
A:Growth, growth, and more growth. Whether it’s intellectual, spiritual, or professional, the only limits we have are the ones we set for ourselves. I’d also like bigger biceps…
Q:What’s your favorite way to unwind after a long day?
A:Watch movies with my lady and our daughter and Break my opponents’ hearts on FIFA or just be a complete menace in Grand Theft Auto.
Q:Is there a skill or topic you’d like to learn more about in the coming year?
A:I’d like to improve my Excel skills and I’m even considering writing my RE1.
