I am happy to announce that I will be retiring from the practice of law effective December 31, 2025. I have been honored to serve my community for the past 33 years. This is a bittersweet transition in my life: as I look forward to the opportunities that retirement offers, I will miss the daily connection I‘ve had with clients and their families. I will cherish the memories I‘ve collected over the years and wish you all the very best in life.

If you know ANYONE, in ANY state, that hasn’t registered to vote in the federal election, tell them to go to this website to learn when the deadline to register is in THEIR state! Most states have deadlines approaching! GA’s and Ariz’s deadline is OCTOBER 7TH. North Carolina’s is OCTOBER 11TH. Penn’s is OCTOBER 21ST. Michigan is OCTOBER 21ST (online / by mail) or NOV 5th (in person at the polls)

All the information you need to vote. Register to vote, check your voter registration status, and find upcoming election dates and deadlines.

GEORGIA PEEPS: BY OCTOBER 7TH, EVERYONE should check their voting status at the GA Secy of State My Voter Page, https://mvp.sos.ga.gov/s/ to make sure you are registered to vote and that your address is up-to-date. Once you have signed in, you should see your registration information and that your status is “Active.” If it is “Inactive,” you CAN still vote, but it may be that you haven’t voted in years, or that you have moved and the county has been unable to contact you. Moved Within Georgia? Monday October 7th is the last day to register your new address if you have moved within Georgia since the last time you voted! If the voter has MOVED FROM ONE COUNTY TO ANOTHER, they must re-register to vote in the county of their new residence. Updating your address can be done ONLINE with a Georgia Driver’s License number or a Department of Driver Services ID at http://mvp.sos.ga.gov. If a voter does not have one of those forms of ID, they can use the usual voter registration form, which you can obtain from the county election office. Find your new county’s office at: https://mvp.sos.ga.gov/s/county-election-offices. If the voter moved WITHIN their county, they can either change their address online (see above) or call their county Elections Office to update their registration address. Georgia Peeps: Monday October 7th is the last day to register to vote!! If you have a Georgia driver's license or State ID Card, you can register online at: https://registertovote.sos.ga.gov. Otherwise, you can download a blank voter registration form at https://registertovote.sos.ga.gov/ and return it to your county elections office in person - you can find the office’s address at https://mvp.sos.ga.gov/s/county-election-offices. Or, you can obtain a registration form at any county elections office, many public libraries, public assistance offices, recruitment offices, schools, or other government offices.

It was really great speaking at Jewish Fertility Foundation’s panel discussion “Pathways to Parenthood”.

I will be presenting in a free panel discussion this Thursday, Feb. 29th at 7PM. Here’s the info: “Pathways to Parenthood: Starting a Family in the LGBTQ+ Community” is an informational program discussing different aspects of the non-medical infertility journey. The event will headline comedian Sam Morrison, and will also feature speakers with significant expertise in the medical, communal and legal aspects of building and securing LGBTQ+ families.

The program is FREE to attend and includes dinner, drinks, comedy and community! It is open to anyone who is part of or allied with the LGBTQ+ community, at any stage of thinking of, planning to, or in the process of building a family.

The event will take place on Feb 29, 2024 at 7pm. You can register for the event at the following link, at which time you will receive the location by email. I truly hope you will join us for this amazing event!
