📢 BMVN (in alliance with Baker McKenzie Vietnam) is pleased to support and coordinate the Judicial Training on Adjudication of Intellectual Property Enforcement Cases in Vietnam.

As Vietnam's innovation ecosystem and digital economy continue to grow, enhancing judicial capacity and strengthening the application of IP laws are increasingly important to ensuring a transparent, fair, and innovation-driven business environment.

On 24-25 September 2026, BMVN is honored to serve as the coordinating organization for the "Training on Adjudication of Intellectual Property Enforcement Cases in Vietnam", jointly organized by Hanoi Law University, the International Trademark Association (INTA), the Motion Picture Association, and the Alliance for Creativity and Entertainment, with support from the U.S. Department of Justice, and the U.S. Embassy Vietnam, and other relevant stakeholders.

The program is designed for judges, court officials, and other stakeholders involved in the adjudication and resolution of intellectual property disputes. It also welcomes lawyers, industry experts, businesses, rights holders, and individuals interested in IP enforcement to participate, exchange perspectives, learn from leading practitioners, and stay abreast of the latest legal developments in this field.

Through initiatives such as this, BMVN remains committed to supporting capacity building within the judiciary and contributing to a stronger IP framework that fosters innovation, transparency, and effective protection of rights in Vietnam.

Ngày 24-25/9/2026, BMVN vinh dự điều phối chương trình "Tập huấn tư pháp về xét xử các vụ việc thực thi quyền sở hữu trí tuệ tại Việt Nam", do Trường Đại học Luật Hà Nội, Hiệp hội Nhãn hiệu Quốc tế (INTA), Hiệp hội Điện ảnh Hoa Kỳ (MPA) và Liên minh Sáng tạo và Giải trí (ACE) phối hợp tổ chức, với sự hỗ trợ của Bộ Tư pháp Hoa Kỳ và Đại sứ quán Hoa Kỳ tại Việt Nam.

Chương trình được thiết kế dành cho các thẩm phán, cán bộ tòa án và các chủ thể tham gia vào quá trình giải quyết tranh chấp SHTT, đồng thời chào đón các luật sư, chuyên gia, doanh nghiệp, đại diện chủ thể quyền và những cá nhân quan tâm đến lĩnh vực thực thi quyền SHTT tham dự để cùng trao đổi, học hỏi và cập nhật các xu hướng pháp lý mới.

BMVN mong muốn đóng góp vào các nỗ lực tăng cường năng lực tư pháp trong lĩnh vực SHTT, qua đó thúc đẩy một môi trường sáng tạo, minh bạch và được bảo vệ hiệu quả hơn tại Việt Nam.

In Memory of Mr. Michael Vu Nguyen (1955 – 2026)

It is with profound sadness that we learn of the passing of Mr. Michael Vu Nguyen, Vice Chairman of FLC Group and former Country Director of Boeing Vietnam, who passed away on August 26, 2026.
Baker McKenzie Vietnam extends our deepest condolences to his family, relatives, loved ones, and colleagues during this time of immense loss.

Mr. Michael Vu Nguyen was an esteemed business leader whose distinguished career spanned over four decades across aviation, finance, and international business development. Mr. Nguyen was a vital bridge in strengthening bilateral trade and investment relations between Vietnam and the international business community, having served as Chairman of AmCham Hanoi, Chairman of the US-ASEAN Business Council in Vietnam, and Co-Chair of the Vietnam Business Forum (VBF).

His legacy of leadership and contributions to Vietnam's economic infrastructure will be remembered with honor and respect.

🌿 One Team, Two Energies: Baker McKenzie Vietnam’s Wellbeing Days

In a profession being reshaped daily by AI, rising expectations, and endless screen time, it is easy to forget the importance of pressing "pause." At Baker McKenzie Vietnam, we believe that taking care of our people isn’t just a nice-to-have policy, it is foundational to who we are.
This May, our Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City offices took two very different approaches — both equally meaningful — to disconnect from screens and reconnect as humans.

On 16 May, our Hanoi office kicked off the wellness calendar with an outdoor trekking day in the fresh air of Ba Vi Mountain.

What made the day special wasn't the scenery alone, but the conversations that happened when no one was watching the clock. We learned things about each other that rarely surface in months of back-to-back calls. The day wrapped up with a small gathering in nature and some heartfelt performances, simple, but deeply human.

Later in the month on 29 May, our Ho Chi Minh City office brought a completely different kind of energy to the court with our Pickleball Tournament — faster, louder, and full of laughter.

Many picked up a paddle for the very first time. There were beginners, nervous laughs, and plenty of missed shots, but the spirit was absolutely there. Through doubles, singles, and friendly rivalries (with prizes to celebrate the effort, of course!), what mattered most wasn't who won, but how everyone showed up for each other.

Whether hiking through mountain trails or diving for a pickleball volley, investing in our collective wellbeing doesn’t have to be complicated. Strong teams aren't built on billable hours alone. They're built on shared moments, whether it’s sharing coconut juice after a hike or exchanging a high-five after a lucky serve.
