ISO 45001 is not just about preventing accidents.

It is about building a system that helps organizations identify hazards, control risks, and prevent incidents before they happen.

But in practice, companies often make these mistakes:

1️⃣ Focusing only on PPE

PPE is important, but it should not be the first solution to every hazard.

Effective risk control starts with the Hierarchy of Controls, from eliminating hazards to using PPE as the last line of defense.

2️⃣ Assessing risks but not updating them

Workplaces change.

New equipment, materials, processes, or working conditions can create new hazards.
