VIETNAM UPDATES DRUG REGISTRATION REGULATIONS

On 29 July 2026, the Ministry of Health issued Circular No. 32/2026/TT-BYT, introducing important changes to the registration of drugs and medicinal ingredients in Vietnam. The Circular will take effect on 1 October 2026.
Key changes relate to registration dossiers, CPP requirements, the use of CEP/GMP documents, stability data, post-approval variations and the reconsideration of registration applications.
Pharmaceutical companies should review their pending and upcoming submissions, update internal procedures and assess how the transitional provisions may apply to each dossier.

Trên nền tảng nguồn nguyên liệu quý này, hệ sinh thái sản phẩm ngày càng được mở rộng, từ thực phẩm, đồ uống đến mỹ phẩm, thực phẩm bảo vệ sức khỏe và dược phẩm, mở ra nhiều cơ hội phát triển cho ngành công nghiệp dược liệu Việt Nam.

The program is jointly organized by the Da Nang City Department of Industry and Trade, the People's Committee of An Hai Ward, and the Quang Nam Ngoc Linh Ginseng Association, under the direction of the Da Nang City People's Committee.

The opening ceremony was attended by Mr. Le Tri Thanh, Member of the Standing Committee of the Da Nang Party Committee and Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Da Nang City; Mr. Ho Quang Buu, Member of the Da Nang Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the Da Nang City People's Committee, together with representatives of government agencies, departments, and local authorities.

Widely recognized as one of Vietnam's national treasures, "Ngoc Linh Ginseng" (Panax vietnamensis Ha et Grushv.) is protected as a Geographical Indication (GI) for ginseng roots originating from the unique geographical conditions of the Ngoc Linh mountain range spanning Da Nang City and Quang Ngai Province. Building upon this exceptional botanical resource, an expanding ecosystem of value-added products - including foods, beverages, cosmetics, health supplements, and pharmaceuticals—continues to unlock new opportunities for the sustainable growth of Vietnam's medicinal herb industry.
