๐ FALL ON THE NATURE COAST: LOCAL EVENTS TO SAVE ๐
Looking for a reason to get out and enjoy the season? Here are a few happenings around Inglis, Yankeetown and Levy County, starting with one happening this very weekend:
โข Cedar Key Seafood Festival | October 17โ18, downtown Cedar Key: The 55th annual festival brings arts and crafts, live music and plenty of local seafood to Second Street, Dock Street and City Park. The traditional parade steps off Saturday at 11 a.m.
๐ฝ And if you are heading to Cedar Key this weekend, come say hi to me! I will be out front selling Cedar Key Fire Department supporter t-shirts, and the proceeds go toward helping our fire department raise money. Stop by, meet some neighbors, and pick one up for a good cause.
โข Cedar Key Pirate Invasion | October 30โNovember 1: Celebrate its 10th anniversary with a pirate encampment, live music, black powder demonstrations, a golf cart parade and Halloween trick-or-treating in the park.
โข Fall Fest at Cedar Lakes Woods and Gardens | November 7, Williston: Plant sale, arts and crafts market, food vendors, live music and access to the botanical gardens.
โข Withlacoochee Bluegrass Festival | November 19โ21, near the Withlacoochee River: Live music and camping.
โข Yankeetown Arts, Crafts & Seafood Festival | November 21โ22, Riverside Drive: Free admission, local fishing heritage, seafood, arts and crafts, and live music on two stages.
Fall here means cooler mornings, scallop season wrapped up, and lovely weather for fishing and boating on the river. Manatee season also brings them back to warmer spring-fed and protected waters, though wildlife sightings are never guaranteed.
Dates and details can change, so check with event organizers before heading out. Thinking about making this area your home base? Call or text Jennifer at 352-405-1314 to chat about whatโs available in Inglis and Yankeetown.
