This Memorial Day, we pause to remember the men and women who gave their lives in service to our country.

Their sacrifice is not a footnote in our history. It is part of the foundation of the freedoms we live with every day.

We honor their memory, and we hold space for the families who carry that loss long after the day has passed.

A condition is not always measured fairly by whether medication helps.

Even when medication improves some symptoms, many veterans still deal with side effects, flare-ups, and limits in daily life. That is why disability ratings should reflect real day-to-day impact, not just temporary relief.

If you recently received a denial, a lower rating than expected, or a reduction decision, contact us for a review of your decision letter and the evidence the VA relied on.

Having a diagnosis is important, but it does not always mean the VA will approve the claim.

A denial may still happen if the VA says the condition is not connected to service, if the evidence is not strong enough, or if the record leaves key questions unanswered.
A diagnosis shows that a condition exists. It does not always resolve the issue the VA says is still missing.

If you were denied within the last year, we can review your decision letter and help explain the reason in plain language.

A C&P exam can affect more than you may think.

The words used in that exam can shape how the VA views your claim. If the exam downplays your symptoms, questions the connection to service, or leaves out important details, that language can carry through to the denial.

If you were denied, part of the review is looking closely at how the C&P exam may have influenced the decision.

Denied within the last year? We can review your decision letter and help explain what the VA relied on.

V-E Day, or Victory in Europe Day, marks the surrender of N**i Germany on May 8, 1945.

It’s sometimes confused with the end of World War II as a whole, but the war continued in the Pacific after fighting ended in Europe.

V-E Day is a moment to remember the service and sacrifice of those who served during that chapter of the war.

“Favorable Findings” are parts of your VA decision where the VA agrees something is true.

Even if the claim is denied, this section can still help because it shows what the VA is not arguing about. That can narrow what is still in dispute.

Look for that section, keep a copy, and do not let it get buried in the paperwork.

Denied in the last year? We can review your decision letter and explain what the VA accepted and what it said was missing.

What does “no nexus” mean?

A nexus is the link between your current condition and your military service. Many denials happen when the VA does not see that link in the records or the medical opinion.

Example: A veteran develops chronic back pain years after service. If a doctor explains that the condition is “at least as likely as not related to heavy lifting during military service,” that medical opinion can help establish the nexus.

Without that explanation, the VA may deny the claim—even if the condition is real.
If you have a recent denial, we can review the decision and explain the ‘why’ behind it.

Two veterans can have the same VA rating, but very different back pay.
Back pay is driven by timing, especially the effective date and the path your claim took to get to the final decision.

The math can be confusing, and you are not alone.

If you received a VA rating decision in the last year and it ended in a denial, we can review the decision letter and explain what it says in plain language.

Today is National Former Prisoner of War Recognition Day.

We honor the service members who endured captivity and came home carrying memories most of us can never imagine. We also honor the families who waited, prayed, and held on to hope.

To every former POW: We see you. We thank you. We honor your strength.
