The time is NIGH !! Tax season is wrapping up! Tomorrow is 3 weeks till deadline 😲 this Friday March 27th will be our soft, “if it’s here we will get it done before deadline”(within reason). All others we will get you an extension if needed. I say it every year this tax season has flown by! Thank you so much to all of our new and returning clients! We appreciate you trusting in us to handle one of life’s most stressful times!!

🧐Do I need to file a 1099 ?? 🧐

Here’s what you need to know. If the answer is yes to any of the following scenarios then you do in fact and should file a 1099.

Are you self employed?
**Own your own business,are you a farmer,are you a contract laborer whom hires subcontractors , do you pay booth rent ( hair salon/ direct sales) just to name a few examples.

Yes? - then maybe so!
No! - then no

The two types of 1099s are NEC / MISC

NEC- non employee compensation (contract labor).
Did you pay someone $600 or more to have something done?
** incorporated business you do not need to issue them a 1099, only DBA or LLC

1099MISC- this is more for things such as rent/ leases paid.

This is your paper trail for expenses on your end, and income on the other persons end.
These are DUE by January 31st , they must be post marked by that date and efiled.
