🚨 SETTLEMENT 🚨
With our dear client Efrin a few days after the three-judge panel of the Worker’s Compensation appeals Board in San Francisco approved a settlement of 2.4 million on his case during the process of deciding defendant’s appeal.

Efrin was injured while an industrial chemical sprayer rolled over him when he lost control rolling it down the hill. He suffered a mild traumatic brain injury with other polytrauma. A few months ago, the insurance carrier stopped providing what we believed was reasonable and necessary medical treatment to cure or relieve our client of the effect of his industrial injury and disputed the extent of further medical treatment needed.

We engaged in settlement discussions with defendants. Settlement negotiations halted because we didn’t feel that defendants last offer of $2 million would be sufficient to compensate applicant for all his future needs.

We proceeded to trial on his case and won. Defendants appealed and their appeal was granted by the Worker’s Compensation appeals Board up north. With the help of the settlement commissioner of the Worker’s Compensation appeals Board, we were able to settle this case for more than our bottom line number pre trial. The moral of the story is try your cases! Special thanks to the commissioners up north for their assistance in settling this case through the mediation judge and for approving our compromise and release agreement. Also thanks to the very best trial team for all their hard work in bringing this case to justice.

🚨 SETTLEMENT ALERT 🚨
Tina with her dear client Kevin moments after a Van Nuys Judge approved a settlement in his favor in the amount of $2.4 million dollars. Kevin worked on a construction site where a large door frame fell on him causing a
concussion and other physical injuries. His case was referred to Tina by another colleague who recognized the potential for an industrial traumatic brain injury.

Settlement Alert🚨This case was an interesting one. Our client, Juan, decided to return to work after suffering a TBI because he thought he was fine. 6 months later he’s back having realized he couldn’t function properly while performing his daily activities. This case truly proves that just because TBI’s aren’t seen, doesn’t mean they aren’t there.
