Virginia's district and circuit courts will remain under Judicial Emergency until May 17 – only essential matters will be heard, per the Virginia Supreme Court. The Court also said statutes of limitation and case-related deadlines are tolled, or suspended, during the emergency period.

The Supreme Court of Virginia has officially extended the judicial emergency suspending all non-essential, non-emergency court proceedings in the commonwealth.

Temporary policies for the 31st Judicial Circuit (Prince William and Cities of Manassas and Manassas Park) in response to Covid-19 pandemic:

Circuit Court:
- No new civil hearings, motions, or trials will be scheduled from 3/16 to 4/30
- Civil term day for 4/7 is cancelled; Criminal term day on 4/7 will go fwd
