Answer:

Yes, you can, but you need to apply for a study permit even if the program of study is for a period of less than 6 months.

You can travel to and enter Canada if you’re a

👉Canadian citizen
👉dual Canadian citizen with a
valid Canadian passport
👉permanent resident of Canada
👉person registered under Canada’s Indian Act
👉protected person
👉an immediate or extended family member of a Canadian citizen, person registered under Canada’s Indian Act or permanent resident who is staying in Canada for 15 days or more
👉a person who is authorized by the Public Health Agency of Canada to travel to Canada for compassionate reasons
👉a person who’s participating in an International Single-Sport Event (ISSE)
👉temporary foreign workers
👉some international students
👉some people who have been approved to become a permanent resident of Canada, but who are not yet permanent residents
👉immediate family members with written authorization from IRCC to reunite with a temporary resident of Canada
👉transiting passengers, diplomats and others***

You must also have a quarantine plan that shows how you will quarantine for 14 days when you arrive in Canada. This plan is mandatory

Eligibility criteria:

The applicant must include the following documents to be eligible for SDS processing:

👉proof of a valid language test result
👉proof of a Guaranteed Investment Certificate (GIC) of CAN$10,000
👉proof of full payment of tuition for the applicant’s first year of study
👉letter of acceptance from a post-secondary DLI
👉most recent secondary or post-secondary educational transcript
👉proof of completion of upfront medical examination

International students can get their study permits faster by using the SDS. IRCC processes most SDS applications within 20 calendar days if the eligibility requirements are met.
