Not everyone is famous, nor is everyone "of means" or "well to do" but how often does this happen or how loud do you need to cry to get the U.S. Department of State to waive the $15,000 visa entry fee on a B-1/B-2 tourist visa?

If you are a soccer mom wanting to see her grown baby play in Miami, you may have clout or maybe the optics were bad and with congressional intervention, the stringent visa fee got waived. 🤔

The mother of Cape Verde goalkeeper Vozinha will be able to watch her son play in the World Cup this weekend after intervention from the US State Department and House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries.

I am thankful I was included in an article by a UF Alligator student reporter this week about whether there is a shift in the Latino community among those who voted for or supported the present administration.

Considering the deliberate hostile tone of the adminstration towards immigrants and especially towards those from the Caribbean, Central and South America, those in immigrant communities who voted in support are either profoundly self occupied, profoundly ignorant as to the immigration processes and procedures or the consequences of their own choices, have hate filled hearts or lack any ability whatsoever to discern character.

People perish for lack of knowledge and often the choices other people make for them or the uninformed ones they make for themselves.

How has your views changed or shifted towards this administration as the cruelty towards others escalate and the self aggrandizement metastasize?

Immigration attorneys report that many of their clients are experiencing longer case processing times, more application denials and growing fears about travel, detention and deportation.

When The Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission or Bureau of Alcohol To***co and Fi****ms (ATF) along w several other agencies become
hyper aggressive and eager in their desire to cooperate with Immigration and Customs Enforcement ( ICE) because of a contract or financial incentives, you have to wonder are pogroms next?

Trump’s immigration crackdown has met with fierce resistance in Democratic-led sanctuary cities, where police are forbidden from assisting and many locals view the masked federal agents as an invading force.

PROPOSED RULE ON TOURIST VISAS -

Those persons abroad seeking B-1/B-2 visitor's visa would now have an option to "expedite" or "fast pass" the interview queue with a premium processing option fee of USD$750.

Whether some people will be foreclosed from applying or getting a response because a non-immigrant visa queue may be a year or more OR it is a great way to boost Department of State income and incentivize and prioritize tourist visas - should the quality of services or time spent seeking those services always depend on your pocket?

Would it improve consular officer responsiveness or customer service quality?

The proposed rule is published in the Federal Register but the comment period closes July 9, 2026.

The Trump administration has come up with a new way to monetize foreign tourists.

Even for the much anticipated FIFA WORLD CUP players and team staff, they will experience some terror and headaches as entry for some will be elusive.

Placement into secondary inspection or interrogation rooms at the airport make a statement about our level of hospitality.

After an 18 hour flight the last thing a body wants to do is spend another 10 answering questions at a Customs and Border Protection check point while someone else goes all up and through your phone. 😣

Although it takes time for a court case to snake through "the system" sometimes the process works.

Arbitrary and Capricious decisions with no basis, an abuse of discretion or overreach will eventually result in voiding a rule or vacatur.

Set aside or nullified by the court today, the adminitration was essentially told "NO" you cannot just hike a fee 'cause you feel like it.

Whether it is pretext or context, a tax is still a tax if your motive wasn't right in the first place.

Whatever "they" say is "amicable" or a "cut throat" divorce, a divorce is the same regardless of the approach.

Divorce is the legal dissolution of a marital union.

Whether one person fell out of love or just woke up, a split does not typically blind side.

If you see the signs but ignore them, or you were delusional, what do you expect?

Marriage is a journey of self discovery and a product of the two people involved and their ideas of each other and the expectations of the other person within that union.

Emotions play a role but if you plan to get through the process relatively sane, then understand the legal process and the emotional impact it will have on you.
