This week The Florida Bar Board of Governors recommended acceptance of FACDL's proposed amendment to Florida Rule of Criminal Procedure 3.116.
This is a really significant victory that will allow attorneys and participants in criminal proceedings to benefit from technology which allows virtual appearances in non-evidentiary hearings, just as is already permitted in civil matters under Rule of Judicial Administration 2.530(b)(1).
