Lori and Ben Wurtzel were recently published in the Florida Association of Criminal Defense Attorneys Summer 2023 issue of the "Florida Defender" magazine. This week The Florida Bar Board of Governors recommended acceptance of FACDL's proposed amendment to Florida Rule of Criminal Procedure 3.116.
This is a really significant victory that will allow attorneys and participants in criminal proceedings to benefit from technology which allows virtual appearances in non-evidentiary hearings, just as is already permitted in civil matters under Rule of Judicial Administration 2.530(b)(1).
