Have you ever wondered how fire personnel hone their skills and train on their equipment? Join the American Red Cross to learn about our collaborative work with fire departments across Mid-
Florida. In Polk County during FY26, Red Cross volunteers responded to 127 fires, assisting families impacted by disaster through 148 cases. This hands-on experience gives you the
opportunity to step into the role of a fire responder for a day, see how our partnership supports communities in crisis, and learn how together we bring hope and help when it matters most.

Please know that THE AMERICAN RED CROSS has an amazing special tracing program that FINDS and REUNITES FAMILY MEMBERS who have lost contact with, or are displaced/dislocated, by disasters, migration, or war. This is a free service and can be used not only for more currently losses, but also for families separated years ago that may have exhausted other avenues.
