Many local courts have been delaying things of their own accord, so this order will not affect too many additional matters. Not all trials are jury trials, but this is going to delay the dockets of every court for several months.

This has some salty language in it, but it is an interesting discussion of a wide-spread problem. Employers should engage in the interactive process and make some accommodation rather than paternalistically deciding what they think is best for their employees.

She should contact an employment attorney. You do not have First Amendment rights vis-a-vis your employer, but you do have the right to be treated equally. Sounds like her male counterpart got to keep his job for similar behavior.
