2026 has brought real change to the Disney Vacation Club resale industry. Disney introduced a new $500 Contract Administration Fee on all resale transfers. Several major brokerages have been acquired by larger hospitality holding companies. Commission rates across the industry range anywhere from under 7% to over 10%. In a market moving this fast, it’s worth taking stock of what’s actually stayed the same, and where DVC Resale Experts stands heading into the rest of the year.

No, we’re not talking about a trip to the bank. 💸

In Disney Vacation Club, banking means moving your unused points from your current Use Year into the next one.

Think you’re not going to use all your points this year? Bank them.

Want to save up for a bigger villa, longer trip, or bucket-list stay next year? Bank them.

It’s one of the features that gives DVC owners flexibility when life (or Disney plans) change. ✨

The important thing to remember: banking deadlines apply, so you can’t wait until the last minute to decide.

Chris is one of the owners here at DVC Resale Experts. 👋

Chris’ love of Disney started when he was a child growing up in Indiana. Chris’ cousin, Bonnie, was one of Walt Disney’s original Mouseketeers! Chris has a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Wright State University and an MBA in Finance from The Ohio State University. Moving to Orlando in 2004 to be closer to Walt Disney World, he owned a successful real estate company, repeatedly recognized by Orlando Magazine as one of Orlando’s top 100 Realtors and even earning recognition by the Wall Street Journal and RealTrends as one of the top 1000 Realtors nationwide. Chris chose to join Disney Vacation Club as a Sales Guide in 2018. Having stayed at nearly every DVC resort and going on numerous Disney cruises, Chris decided he wanted to combine his love of real estate and DVC. DVC Resale Experts is the perfect way to combine his passions!
