❤️ Giving Back to Our Community Today!

Today, I’m taking some time away from appointments to volunteer at the First Annual Community Barbecue Fundraiser benefiting the West End Pantry in Johnstown.

Being a local small-business owner means more to me than simply providing a service. This is my community too, and I’m happy to spend part of my Saturday volunteering and supporting an organization that helps our local families. ❤️

The event is happening TODAY from 12–3 PM with food, games, raffles, family activities, and more. Admission is a nonperishable food item, and proceeds benefit the West End Pantry.

September is Preparedness Month, but preparedness isn’t only bottled water, batteries, and a flashlight.

Sometimes preparedness sounds like this:

“Mom is in the hospital and we need a Power of Attorney signed.”

“Dad can’t leave the nursing facility.”

“We thought we had more time.”

Those are the kinds of calls I receive in real life.

Important documents are easy to put off when everything is going well. The problem is that emergencies rarely give us advance notice.
