Hamlet & Associates Attorneys Honored as 2021 Legal Elite, Super Lawyers and Lawyer of the Year

Attorneys Mark Hamlet and Jessica Soles Humphries have been selected among Business North Carolina magazine’s 2021 Legal Elite, a listing of the state’s top lawyers in business-related categories. Mr. Hamlet and Ms. Humphries were honored in the category of construction law. The Legal Elite are determined by peer lawyers as the best practitioners in their respective fields. Fewer than 4 percent of the state’s active attorneys were selected this year.

Mr. Hamlet and Nicole Barnett Slaughter also were honored as North Carolina Super Lawyers in the practice area of construction litigation. 2021 is Mr. Hamlet’s 11th year as a Super Lawyer. Super Lawyers comprise the top 5 percent of attorneys, as recognized by their peers for professional achievement in various practice areas.

For the third year, Ms. Humphries has been recognized as one of North Carolina Super Lawyers’ “Rising Stars” in the practice area of civil litigation defense. The “Rising Stars” all are under the age of 40 and have practiced law for 10 years or fewer.
