Had the awesome opportunity to speak on a panel about the legal implications of medical aid in dying and dying with dignity in North Carolina. I had the pleasure of listening to several different viewpoints from medical staff, religious figures in the community, proponents of associated legislation, and opponents as well.
People often think of estate planning attorneys as only being responsible for ensuring that assets are passed on to our loved ones. But a good estate plan should provide clients with the opportunity to navigate their end-of-life care decisions if they desire.
Part of what I love about my job is the ability to educate. Itโs my job to provide clients as much information as possible to allow them to be comfortable making the best informed decision. So a big thank you to the for hosting this educational open panel discussion.
