Born with an ultra-rare genetic condition, Shine faced extraordinary medical challenges from the very beginning. Over the past eight years, each surgery and every step forward has opened a new level of freedom for him. When he received his prosthetic legs, he did not simply learn to walk — he took off running.

His journey reflects the impact of expert surgeons, specialized care teams, Child Life services, therapy programs, and hospitals committed to helping children not only receive treatment, but grow, explore, and fully experience childhood.

More choices for buyers, steady pricing, and a housing market that still looks very different from one city to the next. 🏡

The July 2026 REMAX National Housing Report shows active inventory across the 46 metro areas surveyed increased 4.7% year over year and 2.8% from June, giving many buyers more options than they had a year ago.

At the same time, the median sales price held steady month over month at $450,000 and remained 3.4% higher than July 2025.

Buyer activity also stayed ahead of last year. Home sales increased 2.5% year over year, new listings rose 1.4%, and the average home spent 45 days on market. Months’ supply of inventory climbed to 3.0 months, compared with 2.7 in June and 2.9 one year earlier.

The biggest takeaway: more inventory does not mean every market is moving the same way.

Some areas are giving buyers considerably more selection, while others remain tighter. Pricing, competition, negotiating room, and time on market can vary significantly depending on location.

Whether you’re thinking about buying or selling, national housing trends are a helpful starting point. Understanding what is happening in your specific local market is what turns the data into a real strategy.
