MORE CHOICES. WHAT MATTERS MOST TO YOU?

A beautiful house can catch your eye. But the right home should also fit the way you want to live.

Perhaps it’s a welcoming porch for morning coffee. Room to garden. A kitchen you enjoy cooking in. Or a neighborhood that puts your favorite places within easy reach.

Our office’s Fall 2026 Market Talk highlights increased housing inventory across Virginia. For buyers, more options make it especially useful to know which features deserve a place at the top of the list.

If you’re considering buying a home in the Williamsburg area, start with three questions:

🌿 What would make everyday life easier?
🏡 What are your must-haves—and where could you be flexible?
📍 Which location best fits your routines and interests?

Then we can compare homes with those priorities in mind, looking at the setting, layout, condition, and upkeep as well as the price.

What’s one feature you would put at the top of your list?

Tell me here, or send me a message. I’d love to help you turn that wish list into a thoughtful home search.

At Home in Williamsburg
History is only the beginning.
Let me introduce you to life here.

🍂 IT’S HOUSE PICKING SEASON!
The sweetest pick of the season might come with a front door.

This time of year, we’re searching for the perfect pumpkin, sipping warm c***r, and adding a little autumn color to our porches. But perhaps your favorite fall find will be a porch of your own.

A kitchen where your favorite recipes come to life. A backyard with room to grow. A cozy spot to watch the leaves turn. A front door that makes you smile every time you pull into the driveway.

Finding the right home starts with knowing what matters to you—and choosing a Williamsburg-area neighborhood that fits the way you want to live.

🍁 What would make a home your sweetest pick: a welcoming porch, a beautiful kitchen, or a little more room to breathe?

If a new home is on your fall wish list, let’s start looking together.

We did a lot of walking but we did have a wonderful time at the State Fair of Virginia! 🍂

One of my favorite things to do is watch the livestock and horse competitions—from goats and pigs to cattle and, of course, the horses! I love seeing the care, hard work, and pride the exhibitors bring into the ring.

It takes me right back to the days when my own children competed at the fair. Those early mornings, getting our animals ready, and cheering them on are memories I still treasure. Watching today’s young exhibitors reminds me of the excitement we felt—and how much work went into getting there!

There’s so much to enjoy at the fair, but those competitions will always hold a special place in my heart.

What’s your favorite part of the fair—the animals, the exhibits, the rides, or a treat you look forward to every year? I’d love to hear! 🎡
Here are just a few photos from our visit.

🍎 Who is the teacher you’ve never forgotten? Mine would be Mr. Ray Freed, who was my teacher at Lafayette High School. Fun fact he was also my Mother's teacher at James Blair High School.

Maybe they made a difficult subject finally click. Maybe they noticed your potential before you did. Or maybe their classroom was where you found the courage to try.

Years later, we may forget the assignment—but we remember how they made us feel.

On World Teachers’ Day, a heartfelt thank-you to the teachers here in Williamsburg, James City County, York County, and New Kent—and everywhere—whose influence reaches far beyond the classroom. 💛

Who made a difference in your life? Share their name and a memory below, or tag a teacher you’d love to thank.

Did you know that the Williamsburg Library had sewing machines, 3D printers, cricut machines, a heatpress and even a Glowforge laser cutter? YES they do! If you take a class to learn how to use them, you can schedule time to pursue your crafts. Such fun!
