Charli Chats
I must admit I don’t understand this entire calendar thing you humans seem to live by. I do know that mom and dad tell everybody that I will be six years old this year. Then they say I’m middle-aged because I’m 42 dog years. How confusing. It’s like being in my own nice little dog bed and in the middle of the night there are all kinds of noise and fireworks going on. What’s up with that disturbing a girl’s rest. I do know that with all the decorations around the house that mom put up and this is the first time it’s happened without my big brother Teddy with me. But I’m glad my human brother Patrick was home from California .I believe mainly he wanted to watch the Kansas City Chiefs with Dad. Of course, he also likes mom’s cooking. She makes great pork chops and great chicken green chili. I’m told she won first place at a chili cookoff with her chili.
When dad wrote about not having control, I knew what he was talking about because I cannot control my bladder when I see mom or Corban or Katie. It just happens and the funny thing is with anybody else I’m just barking. Mom goes ballistic but I can’t help it, my bladder just empties. I’m just so happy to see her and then…. splash! I’m envious of my cousin Roxie, she’s a doodle like me. She gets even more crazy seeing her mom and dad – Katie and Jacob but she controls her bladder. I don’t know how she does it.

OK enough of bodily functions. Let’s chat about something serious in that I hope the Kansas City Chiefs 3 peat ,I hope they win the Super Bowl. And I think that if it does not happen it was still a great season. I praise the Chiefs and all you humans who can control your bladder.
PS.
Shh, Shh !! I think dad is losing his control as he sure goes …. a lot but I’m not the one who said so

🚨 Attention: Is Your Car Insurance Really Protecting You? 🚨
You work hard every day to provide for your family and keep everyone safe. But what if the car insurance you’re paying for isn’t doing the same for you? Let me share a story that might change the way you think about your current insurance policy.
Meet Marla
Marla is a mom like many other moms —driven, loving, and doing her best for her family. After being seriously injured in a motor vehicle accident caused by her husband’s driving, Marla thought she’d be protected by her family’s car insurance policy with American Family Insurance. After all, they’d been paying for $100,000 in insurance coverage for years.
But when it came time to file a claim, Marla discovered a shocking truth buried in the back of a 22 page “FAMILY CAR POLICY”: American Family Insurance excludes coverage for family members living in the same household. Instead of the $100,000 she expected, the insurance company only offered $25,000, the minimum amount required by Kansas Law.
What Does This Mean for You?
If you have an American Family Insurance policy, this could happen to you or your loved ones. The exclusion clause means friends or strangers—like a hitchhiker—are covered for the full $100,000, but not you, your children or any precious loved relative living in your own home.
It’s outrageous, isn’t it? You’ve been paying for peace of mind, but your policy may not protect the people you care about most.
Why This Matters
Marla’s story is a warning to all of us. She had to make an impossible choice:
Accept a small settlement
Spend years in court fighting a policy exclusion that Kansas courts have already upheld.
In addition, Marla reported American Family dropped them as insureds.
What You Can Do
Here are three action steps everyone should immediately take:
Review Your Policy: Check if your car insurance includes exclusions for family members. These clauses can leave you, your children, and loved relatives vulnerable after an accident.
Ask Questions: Don’t assume you’re covered. Speak to your insurance agent and ask specifically about household member exclusions.
Switch Providers: If your policy doesn’t prioritize your family’s safety, and contains exclusions or step downs in coverage like the one I described it’s time to find one that does. Look for insurers who don’t have these unfair exclusions buried in their terms.
You Deserve Better
Being a mom is tough enough without having to fight your own insurance company. Marla’s story shows that companies like American Family Insurance may not have your best interests at heart. Protect yourself and your loved ones by choosing a policy that truly has your back.
Your family’s safety is priceless! Don’t let fine print stand in the way. 💔

Charlie’s Holiday Newsletter – A Dog’s Perspective
Merry Christmas, furless humans!
I’m Charlie, your favorite four-legged friend, here to wish you all the happiest of holidays. As a dog, I’m pretty grateful for my built-in fur coat. It’s warm, snug, and I never lose or misplace it. The only downside? My poor paws have no fur, so they can get pretty cold in this frosty weather.
This Christmas has been extra special because my big furless human brother, Patrick, came home from Southern California. He claims no one needs a fur coat where he lives and even bragged that it was 78° when he left. Can you imagine? No fur and still warm? Sounds suspicious to me, but I’ll take his word for it.
My little furless human brother, Yami, had an adventure of his own. Dad decided to take him out for a “walk” in something humans call a snowsuit. He looked just like that Michelin tire figure from TV—adorable and hilarious. When I went over to give him a friendly sniff, he toppled over like a turtle on his back. (Classic!) But, no… Yami actually fell on his face this time, biting his lip. He cried and cried, and Dad swooped in to take care of him. I felt terrible, but Yami forgave me because, well, sniffing is just a dog thing. Dad eventually put him in his trusty red wagon, which was a much better idea. Honestly, a one-year-old walking in this weather? Not the brightest move, Dad.
Speaking of family, I’ve been thinking about my furry brother, Teddy, who’s no longer with us. He was big and gentle, and though humans at the dog park would sometimes freak out when he charged toward them, his wagging tail and goofy grin always won them over. This season of love reminds me how much I miss him.
But enough about the past. Right now, I’m feeling all the love. I love Mom and Corbin because they’re the best cuddlers ever. I love the big guy because he’s my go-to for food, walks, and letting me snuggle up in bed. Honestly, I’ve got it pretty good.
So, to all you furless humans out there: thank you for making this world so fun and full of treats. I hope your holidays are as warm and joyful as a dog’s love.
Love and Merry Christmas,
Charlie

🚨 Attention Single Moms: Is Your Car Insurance Really Protecting You? 🚨

As a single mom, you work hard every day to provide for your family and keep everyone safe. But what if the car insurance you’re paying for isn’t doing the same for you? Let me share a story that might change the way you think about your current insurance policy.

Meet Marla

Marla is a mom like you—driven, loving, and doing her best for her family. After being seriously injured in a motor vehicle accident caused by her husband’s driving, Marla thought she’d be protected by her family’s car insurance policy with American Family Insurance. After all, they’d been paying for $100,000 in liability coverage for years.

But when it came time to file a claim, Marla discovered a shocking truth buried in the fine print of her policy: American Family Insurance excludes coverage for family members living in the same household. Instead of the $100,000 she expected, the insurance company only offered $25,000—an amount that doesn’t even come close to covering her medical bills of over $130,000.

What Does This Mean for You?

If you have an American Family Insurance policy, this could happen to you or your loved ones. The exclusion clause means strangers—like a hitchhiker—are covered for the full $100,000, but not you, the person living in your own home.

It’s outrageous, isn’t it? You’ve been paying for peace of mind, but in reality, your policy may not protect the people you care about most.

Why This Matters

Marla’s story is a warning to all of us. She had to make an impossible choice:

Accept a small settlement that barely covers her bills.
Spend years in court fighting a policy exclusion that most courts have already upheld.
In the end, even her attorney advised her to cut her losses and find a better insurance provider.

What You Can Do

Here are three steps every single mom should take today:

Review Your Policy: Check if your car insurance includes exclusions for family members. These clauses can leave you and your children vulnerable after an accident.
Ask Questions: Don’t assume you’re covered. Speak to your insurance agent and ask specifically about household member exclusions.
Switch Providers: If your policy doesn’t prioritize your family’s safety, it’s time to find one that does. Look for insurers who don’t have these unfair exclusions buried in their terms.
You Deserve Better

Being a single mom is tough enough without having to fight your own insurance company. Marla’s story shows that companies like American Family Insurance may not have your best interests at heart. Protect yourself and your loved ones by choosing a policy that truly has your back.

Your family’s safety is priceless—don’t let fine print stand in the way. 💔
