Today was a big day for Janira Silva—she got sworn in as a lawyer!

A Wichita native, Janira started her college career as a Shocker, earning her B.S. in Forensic Science from Wichita State University. She then became an Ichabod at Washburn University School of Law, where she was involved with the Hispanic American Law Students Association (HALSA).

Janira also clerked with Depew Gillen while in law school, so we’ve had the chance to get to know her over the past few years. Now she’s back with us as an attorney, and we’re excited to welcome her to the firm.

The discussion explored the legal and practical issues surrounding these two areas of an evolving energy landscape.

Randy’s recognition by Best Lawyers reflects a long history of peer recognition. He was first recognized in Environmental Law in 2001, and has been recognized in Litigation – Environmental continuously since 2011. He has also been recognized in Employment Law – Individuals since 2018.

Randy represents employees in wrongful discharge, discrimination, sexual harassment, and retaliation matters. His environmental litigation practice is limited to cases involving air and groundwater pollution.
