Juan Vargas, un emigrante de Venezuela que perdió una pierna tras ser atropellado por un coche, luchó a través de una exigente travesía en Sudamérica para llegar a Estados Unidos, conocida como la Brecha del Darién. Debido a su amputación, Vargas juega al fútbol en muchas ligas, algunas con otros venezolanos, otras con otros amputados y otras con amigos.

Juan Vargas, a migrant from Venezuela who lost his leg after being hit by a car, fought through a demanding trek in South America to get to the US, known as the Darién Gap. Soccer, and seeing his family gave him a light and allowed for his hope and spirit. Due to his amputation, Vargas plays soccer on many leagues, some with other Venezuelans, some with other amputees, and some with friends.
