American became a World Power as a result of World War II. We built aircraft carriers, trucks, bombs and ammunition. Now we are no longer a World Power, but a debtor nation whose assets (including the productive workforce--a huge untapped asset) are plundered. Think of Fracking. Think of the corruption of the military into a private army for the wealthy, and the financial center of the World-NYC as ground zero for terrorism. The only race now is to stay away from legal prosecution.

Anticipation and Synergy.

Anticipation is one of the two most important abilities of the successful attorney.

Whether it be in drafting documentation or anticipating what the other side will do in response to our move in a litigation.

Litigation is essentially analogous to chess and that means thinking 3 moves ahead. What should I do? What will they do? And what is my next move.

In drafting, anticipation is inserting the necessary clauses that will give you the winning edge in a litigation.

Most attorneys don't litigate and draft a company's important documents.

Since I have been on both sides of the fence, I can anticipate the litigation issues that may arise from an important agreement, and, at the same time, know what holes exist in you're adversaries' documentation.

This is the second most important quality of a successful attorney: synergy.

So when you are looking for legal representation, look for these two essential qualities.
