Congratulations, Justice Flanigan!
Laird Law, PLLC was honored to be part of yesterday's investiture ceremony for the Honorable James W. "Bill" Flanigan as he was sworn in as Justice of the Supreme Court of Appeals of West Virginia.
The ceremony took place at the historic West Virginia Independence Hall in Wheeling, a fitting venue, as the birthplace of the state, with the oath of office administered by Judge Joseph Barki. Justice Flanigan's son, Liam, robed him for the occasion, his daughter Bella offered moving remarks on behalf of the family, and Ohio County's own George Sidiropolis shared heartfelt words celebrating his career and character.
It was a proud moment for the Northern Panhandle legal community, and we congratulate Justice Flanigan on this well-earned honor. Wishing him wisdom and distinction on the bench for years to come.
