Can I ask you for something?
This Sunday I'm doing a breast and ovarian cancer walk, and I'm doing it for my mom.
My mom had breast cancer twice. She got through it the first time, and life went back to normal. Then it came back. The second time, she already knew what the next year would look like, and she signed up for it anyway. And she beat it again. Two rounds, two wins. I'll always be proud of her for that.
A lot of women never get that ending. About 1 in 8 women in this country will get breast cancer, and breast and ovarian cancer will take roughly 54,000 women this year. But breast cancer deaths are down 44% since 1989. That's better screening, better treatment, and a lot of people who gave so it could happen.
I'm raising money for Support Connection. If you can give anything, $10, $25, whatever feels right, it would mean a lot to me.
