Michelle Sperry Real Estate Coldwell Banker Global Luxury REALTOR® | Westport, CT | Fairfield County Expert | Luxury is how you’re treated. Real Trust. Real Results.

Michelle Sperry, J.D., is a Global Luxury Realtor with Coldwell Banker, specializing in Westport, Weston, and Fairfield County, Connecticut. When it comes to selling a home, the stakes are high — financially and emotionally — which is why Michelle delivers more than real estate expertise. She brings strategy, structure, and a sense of calm to what can often feel like chaos. Backed by Coldwell Banker — the #1 brokerage in Westport and Weston — Michelle combines unmatched market share and global luxury reach with her proprietary Sperry Strategy, a process based on her careers in M&A law, competitive publishing, and nonprofit leadership. This strategy provides sellers with smarter pricing, stronger negotiations, and maximum exposure that consistently outpaces the market, while buyers receive disciplined guidance toward financially sound investments. Every listing leverages Coldwell Banker’s Global Luxury platform, cinematic property films, design-driven staging, and Michelle’s national social media presence of thousands of organic followers — delivering reach and impact that goes far beyond traditional marketing. Before real estate, Michelle built a career in corporate law, advising on multimillion-dollar M&A deals; led national sales initiatives in the publishing industry; launched multiple businesses; and spent nearly two decades as the founder of an arts-based nonprofit that raised over half a million dollars to provide access and opportunity for children. Each chapter sharpened her ability to navigate high-stakes decisions with clarity, creativity, and confidence. Michelle has lived in Fairfield County for over 25 years, raising her four children here and building deep community roots and relationships. Her clients benefit not only from exceptional strategy but also from insider knowledge of the lifestyle, events, neighborhoods, and local culture that only a true local can provide. For Michelle, luxury isn’t a price point — it’s how you’re treated. Luxury is how you’re treated.

☕ AROUND TOWN TUESDAY 💋
Can we talk about how much prettier coffee tastes when it comes in a gorgeous blue-and-white cup? 😂
A little coffee stop at Maman in Westport, and of course I had to take a picture.

The beautiful china, the tiny flowers on the table, the coffee… it’s those little details that make a place memorable.

One of my favorite things about living and working in Fairfield County is discovering spots like this. Sometimes the best part of the day is simply sitting down for a good cup of coffee.

Now tell me, are you ordering the hot latte or the iced coffee with whipped cream? ☕👇

Well, this was a pretty fabulous way to spend a Thursday! 💋I finally got to meet Brunch with Babs!
🌸If you’ve followed her for any length of time, you know why I was excited. The cooking, the entertaining, the little bits of wisdom and the way she makes everyday life feel like something worth celebrating. And getting to actually talk with her was even better!

We chatted about cooking, sharing what you know, and an idea I’ve been carrying around for quite a while: Michele’s Methods.

Her advice? Start sharing. Don’t wait until everything is perfectly figured out. Which, if you know me, is probably exactly what I needed to hear. 😂

One of the things I love about living in Fairfield County is how many interesting people, events and experiences are right here around us. And sometimes you go to a book signing and leave thinking about a whole new chapter of your own.

Are you a Brunch with Babs fan? And have you ever met someone who gave you that little push to try something new?

🏡 SATURDAY REAL ESTATE Q&A
Will a $100,000 kitchen renovation add $100,000 to your home’s value?
👉🏼Not necessarily! And here’s why.
I walk through a lot of beautiful homes, and I can tell you that buyers LOVE a gorgeous kitchen. But here’s something homeowners often misunderstand: what you spend on a renovation and what it adds to your home’s value are two very different numbers.

A $100,000 kitchen renovation doesn’t automatically make your home worth $100,000 more.

It depends on several things:
🏡 Your neighborhood. Buyers compare your home to others in the same market. You can absolutely over-improve a property.

🔨 What you’re replacing. Updating a severely outdated kitchen may make a bigger difference than replacing one that’s already attractive and functional.

✨ The choices you make. Quality matters, but expensive finishes don’t always translate into equally expensive resale value.

📍 What local buyers expect. A kitchen that makes sense in one price range or neighborhood may be excessive in another.

And here’s something else to consider: Sometimes the value of a renovation isn’t just in the resale price. It’s in enjoying your home while you’re living there.

My advice? If you’re renovating because you plan to stay, create a kitchen you love.

But if you’re renovating because you’re thinking about selling, talk to a knowledgeable local Realtor BEFORE spending that money. You might be surprised which improvements actually make financial sense.

Now I’m curious… If you had $100,000 to spend on your home, would you put it all into the kitchen, or spread it around? 👇

Friday House Crush! 🏡🍂

Would this front porch make you stop and look twice?

Because I absolutely would. 😂

I love a beautiful front entrance, and fall is when some homes really show off. The pumpkins, the flowers, the gorgeous front door, the lighting… all those little details that make you want to see what’s on the other side.

And here’s a little real estate perspective: Curb appeal isn’t just about making a home look pretty. It’s about creating a first impression before someone even steps through the door.

Whether you’re preparing to sell or simply enjoying your home, a welcoming entrance can make all the difference.

So tell me, what’s your favorite part of this porch?

The black door? The wreath? The lanterns? Or all those fabulous fall flowers? 👇

If you know me, you know I can’t let a new season start without a trip to Terrain. 🍂 Fall, Christmas, spring… I go back every time because they completely transform the place, and somehow I always leave with decorating ideas I absolutely did not know I needed. 😂

Fall might be one of my favorites. The pumpkins, incredible flowers, dried arrangements, branches, textures and displays make the whole place feel less like shopping and more like wandering through a really beautiful seasonal installation.

And that’s one of the things I love about living here. We have places like Terrain in Westport that become part of your own little seasonal traditions.

If you haven’t been yet this fall, put it on your list. And if you have, tell me: are you a fall Terrain person or a Christmas Terrain person? 👇

That’s what Around Town Tuesday is all about. Sharing the places I genuinely love and the local spots that make our communities such wonderful places to live.

Great places. Local favorites. Fabulous communities.

Until next Tuesday… 💋

Anyone else spend Sunday doing all the glamorous things nobody puts on Instagram? 😂

Today around here it’s catching up, getting the house back together, cutting roses in the rain, figuring out the week ahead and, yes, attempting to protect the furniture from the cats.

Not exactly Global Luxury. Definitely real life.

And truthfully, I love these kinds of Sundays. A little home, a little family, a little reset before Monday starts all over again.

What’s your Sunday looking like? Are you out doing something fabulous or home getting your life together like me?

Can I go to an Open House if I’m not ready to buy? Absolutely.
💪🏻In fact, if you think you might buy in the next year, open houses can be one of the easiest ways to start educating yourself without any pressure.

You begin to understand what your budget actually buys, which neighborhoods feel right, what you’re willing to compromise on and which things suddenly become nonnegotiable once you see them in person.

And please don’t feel like you’re “wasting the Realtor’s time.” That’s what an Open House is for.

Just be honest about where you are in the process.

And if you already have a Realtor, tell the agent hosting the Open House. That little bit of professional courtesy goes a long way.

Friday House Crush 🏡. If you could steal ONE thing from this kitchen, what would it be?

I’m taking the giant island. Although those windows are making a very strong argument. 😂

One of my favorite things about walking through homes is seeing which feature immediately gets someone’s attention. It’s rarely the same thing for everyone.

So what gets you in this one?

The island? The windows? The lighting? The range? The cabinetry? Or something else entirely?

Tell me below 👇
