VIRTUAL NOTARIZATION LAW ANNOUNCEMENT

Dear valued clients and friends,

We are excited to inform you that yesterday, April 27, 2020, Governor Baker signed Bill S.2645. This Bill entitled, “An Act Providing for Virtual Notarization to Address Challenges Related to COVID-19”, allows for the virtual notarization and witnessing of estate planning documents via video conferencing until the State of Emergency has ended.

This means that we can now have your Wills, Trusts, Durable Powers of Attorney, Healthcare Proxies, and HIPAA Authorizations signed and witnessed in a safe and effective manner. If you are a current client and the signing of your estate planning document was postponed because of COVID-19 and you are interested in having your documents signed virtually, please contact our office and we will set up a time to accomplish that.
