🌍🎗️ October 15 is Global Lobular Breast Cancer Awareness Day 🎗️🌍
Today, we join the Lobular Breast Cancer Alliance in helping shine a light on invasive lobular carcinoma, or ILC — the second most common type of breast cancer, yet one that many people have still never heard of.
ILC can behave differently from other breast cancers, may not always form a noticeable lump, and can sometimes be more difficult to detect on a mammogram. That makes awareness, research, and education especially important.
This year, the LBCA Cross Country Awareness Tour ends in Plymouth, Massachusetts on October 15, after traveling across the country to raise awareness and encourage more conversations about lobular breast cancer.
The more people who know about ILC, the more we can help support earlier detection, better research, and improved treatment options.
🎗️ Awareness starts with a conversation.
