It’s easy to get in our own heads and to start believing that our stories don’t matter or that they’re insignificant. But the reality is that our stories DO MATTER…so much.

People want to work with and give business to people that they like, know, and trust. Storytelling is the fastest way to connect on a deeper level with potential clients or customers. When you become relatable to them…when you treat them like they are ALSO a person with a story to tell…your business will explode.

Believe it or not, I don't spend ALL of my time on MOMpire. My biggest passion outside work? Adventuring and chasing sunsets. Yep, this is something that our family has made a priority no matter how busy life gets.

We do it every time we have a spare moment. It's just such a great outlet, because it makes us feel so alive, connected, and so full of gratitude.

Networking doesn’t HAVE to be that hard and exhausting! It really comes down to a few mindset shifts and being prepared.

7 Reasons Why Networking Isn’t Working For You

1. You are focused on numbers, not connection

Have fun, make friends, focus on connection, and the rest follows.

2. You are being spammy

Nobody likes Spammy Samantha (sorry if that’s your name…it just flowed). Dropping in the DMs with a cold pitch isn’t helping anybody. Your heart and your bank account are going to end up empty.

3. You are focused on quantity over quality

Again, with the numbers. Doing business and life with a core group of amazing, quality, and encouraging women is where the JOY lives.

4. You are not being yourself

If you’re putting a persona out into the world that isn’t you…you will start to resent the business that you built to love.

5. You are not providing value

Providing value…and more value

I challenge you to scroll through a facebook group once a week and give people the answers or advice that they’re looking for WITHOUT any expectations.

6. You have no target audience

Knowing your client or customer avatar is SO important when it comes to messaging.

7. You don’t have a simple and compelling elevator pitch

When you can explain what you do, whom you help in a sentence or two, you will begin to attract the right leads into your business.
