We congratulate litigation shareholder Robert Wilkins on his appointment as co-chair of The Florida Bar's Standing Committee on Cybersecurity & Privacy Law for the 2026–27 term.

Rob will serve alongside Charles “Chuck” Bowen, helping lead the committee’s efforts to advance cybersecurity awareness, privacy compliance, incident response planning, and continuing legal education for attorneys throughout Florida.

A recognized thought leader in cybersecurity, privacy, eDiscovery, and data breach response, Rob has been an active member of the committee since 2024 and previously served as Planning Subcommittee Chair, where he helped develop educational programming for lawyers and law firms.

Cybersecurity and privacy law are foundational to professional responsibility and risk management for law firms of all sizes. 🖥️🛡️

The Florida Bar’s Cybersecurity and Privacy Law Standing Committee, in recognition of the constantly evolving risks and impacts of cybersecurity incidents targeting Florida Bar members and law firms, seeks to equip lawyers with the knowledge and best practices needed to meet their obligations in this evolving area of law.

During the 2026 Florida Bar Convention from June 17-20 in Orlando, the CPL Committee will present a four-hour CLE program entitled “Incident Response Plans: A Practical Roadmap for Cyber Resilience,” as part of the President’s Showcase, highlighting some of the legal profession’s most pressing issues.

Jones Foster Shareholder Rob Wilkins will be among the CLE's featured speakers, co-presenting Session IV on how solo practitioners, small firms, and large law firms can effectively implement incident response plans based on best practices and Committee Recommendation 25-1: Voluntary Implementation of Incident Response Plans. He will also participate in the program’s concluding Q&A session.

🎉We congratulate attorneys Mel Skenian and Alex Parthemer on their graduation from the Florida Fellows Institute of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel - ACTEC!

As members of Class VII, Mel and Alex completed an intensive program designed to develop the next generation of leaders in trust and estate law, gaining advanced insight into estate planning, wealth transfer, fiduciary taxation, and trust and estate litigation through a series of educational presentations led by ACTEC Fellow attorneys, including Jones Foster Vice Chair and ACTEC Fellow Theo Kypreos, who served as a featured speaker during Session II, Program 3, presenting on Florida Probate Code.
