Memorial Day is a national day of remembrance dedicated to honoring military service members who made the ultimate sacrifice while protecting the freedoms we enjoy every day. The meaning of this day is found in gratitude, reflection, and remembrance. It is a time to honor courage over comfort, service over self, and the extraordinary sacrifices made by generations of Americans and their families.

Today we proudly pause to remember those heroes and extend our deepest gratitude to the families who continue to carry their legacy forward. May we never take their sacrifice for granted. 🇺🇸

Today, I had the honor of participating in the ceremony at the Third District Court of Appeal, a moment that never loses its significance.

📚 THE RESULTS ARE IN! ⚖️

Congratulations to all who passed the February The Florida Bar Exam! With a 61.8% passage rate for first-time test takers, Florida remains home to one of the most challenging bar exams in the nation. Earning a passing score is no small feat—it reflects dedication, focus, and readiness to enter the legal profession!

Greatly enjoyed attending the 35th Annual Love of Literacy Luncheon hosted by the Literacy Coalition of Palm Beach County.

For over 35 years, this incredible organization has been dedicated to improving literacy in our community by providing tutoring, mentoring, and education programs for children, adults, and families. From helping young students build strong reading foundations to empowering adults with the skills they need to succeed, their work truly changes lives. 📚✨

We were also honored to hear from guest speaker Tayari Jones, whose most recent book, Kin, is featured on Oprah’s Book Club—a powerful reminder of the impact of storytelling and literacy.

Kudos to Lindsey Reinhard and Telsula C. Morgan for co-chairing such a wonderful event that continues to make a meaningful impact and benefit the children in our community.

Honored to serve! ✍🏽

Shortly after being sworn in today, I had the privilege of signing my oath to serve on the City Of West Palm Beach’s Nuisance and Abatement Board—an appointment by Mayor Keith James that I do not take lightly.

The Nuisance and Abatement Board plays a critical role in protecting our community by addressing properties that threaten the health, safety, and welfare of our residents. From combating blight and unsafe structures to tackling issues tied to chronic code violations and criminal activity, this board works to preserve the quality of life across our city and ensure our neighborhoods remain safe, clean, and thriving.

Grateful for the opportunity to give back through this meaningful volunteer service and to continue advocating for strong, vibrant communities right here in West Palm Beach.

This recognition is especially meaningful because it comes from an organization that is deeply committed to uplifting, mentoring, and empowering Black women in the legal profession and supporting the next generation of leaders in our community.

It was truly an A-MUSE-ing evening at the Cultural Council for Palm Beach County’s “An Amusing Evening: Art on Stage.” The event honored and celebrated individuals and organizations whose leadership, generosity, and creativity help shape our beloved Palm Beach County into the vibrant cultural destination we all enjoy.

This special evening also recognized outstanding champions of the arts—those who uplift our community through storytelling, community-building, corporate leadership, and transformative philanthropy.

I’m honored to have been selected to serve as the Research Subcommittee Chairwoman of the Special Committee on the Sustainability Initiative for Attorneys for The Florida Bar.

This is an area of the Bar that is near and dear to my heart. Over the course of my twenty-plus year legal career, I have seen many extremely talented lawyers struggle to sustain the rigor of the practice. This is especially true when considering the unique challenges that can impact women lawyers navigating the demands of our profession while balancing family life.

Our committee’s work will focus on identifying, reviewing, and synthesizing information relevant to improving lawyer effectiveness while continuing to ensure strong public protection.
