Just sold this adorable 1946 traditional home in one of the best neighborhoods in L.A. - "Westchester" which is home to L.A.X, Loyola Marymount University and the Otis College of Art and Design. In 1926, real estate agent William W. Mines promoted the area that would eventually become L.A.X. As Mines Field which hosted the 1928 National Air Races and the first structure known as Hanger No. 1 was a Spanish Colonial Revival style building that still stands and is on the National Register of Historic Places.

L.M.U. moved to Westchester in 1928 after its campus of several bungalows left Avenue 52 in Highland Park and a short stint on Venice Blvd. The law school began in 1920 and was the only program where women were admitted at that time. The law school was the 2nd in L.A. After U.S.C. To admit Jewish students. In 1932 Los Angeles Summer Olympics and LMU's growth prompted real estate magnate Fritz Burns to develop inexpensive single family homes for the booming aerospace industry in World War II.
