Today, the attorneys from the Law Offices of Skokoski & DeCosmo donated lunch to the West Hazleton Police Department.

As promised, Frank and Charlie will continue to support local health care workers and first responders as the community continues to fight the COVID-19 pandemic together.

The attorneys want to thank all of our local heroes on the front lines of the fight against COVID-19 and wish them health and safety throughout the pandemic.

Lastly, they want to thank Alfredo’s Brick Oven Pizza for providing WHPD with an excellent lunch.

The Law Offices of Skokoski & DeCosmo, P.C. will be open and operating for our current clients and new clients during this time of crisis under our normal business hours which are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.

However, in order to protect our clients, staff, and loved ones, and in accordance with suggestions by the Center for Disease Control and the Pennsylvania Department of Health, we will be limiting in-person interaction by conducting all client meetings by phone or video chat if possible. We would also ask any current clients or new clients to contact our office by telephone before visiting in-person.

If you are a current client and have a meeting with an attorney or a scheduled hearing or court appearance in the next 30 days, someone from our office will be in touch with you. We wish all of our clients and their loved ones good health over the next few weeks. We will update our page and contact our clients when we resume business in a normal fashion. Thank you!

As some of you may know, I am fortunate to leave today on an extended vacation to Australia. This has been a life long dream. I have to thank my nephew, and partner Attorney Charles Decosmo for allowing me to take this trip. I have made sure there are no pressing matters in any of my files and cases, and should an issue or question arise, I am confident he can handle all of my client's files while I am gone. He has learned a lot these past seven years and I could not leave for this long without him. I will return the week of February 22nd and could be reached, if necessary, in Australia, although, as I said, I know Charlie can assist you with any problems that arise. He does almost all of our Social Security Disability work now and has been named a Super Lawyer in this area for two years now. (2013-2015). He also does a lot of personal injury work as well as the usual work of a general law practice. Glad he joined the office. Thanks Charlie. And, God willing, I hope to be back in the office in a few weeks. Thank you for all your support over these past 30 years.

A Luzerne County judge denied permission for a methadone clinic to open in Hazle Township, upholding a decision by zoning board members that the clinic would substantially change traffic patterns, crime and security in the neighborhood.
