Sad loss for our community…thanks to Cal for all he did helping Seven Lakers.

It's with our deepest condolences we announce the passing of retired Fire Chief Cal Loy. Chief Loy served as Fire Chief from 2002 until his "semi" retirement in 2012. Both before and after his leadership as Chief he served as an Assistant Chief and Deputy Chief of Administration. He was known in the community for many things and was always hard at work in his office keeping the department running like clockwork. With over 30 years of service to Seven Lakes Fire Department and the community he helped form the foundation for what the department is today. Please keep his family in your thoughts and prayers and those of us who served under and alongside his leadership.

The Sandhills golf team continued its dominant run with a 50-stroke win for its fifth consecutive NJCAA national championship today.
