🎒 Back to school is also a good time for a digital safety check-in.
As children reconnect with classmates, make new friends, and spend more time communicating online, parents can use the start of the school year as an opportunity to review a few important online safety basics.
Check privacy settings. Review location sharing. Know who is on their friends lists. Talk about the risks of sharing personal photos and information. Most importantly, make sure your child knows they can come to you when something online doesn't feel right.
Online safety isn't about one conversation. Keeping communication open throughout the year can help children recognize concerning behavior and feel comfortable asking for help.
Save this checklist and make a digital safety check-in part of your back-to-school routine.
