Florida home insurance is finally going DOWN, and South Florida is getting the biggest cuts in the state.

Here is what the approved rate reductions look like for 2026:

Palm Beach County: -11.9%
Broward County: -14.1%
Miami-Dade County: -13.9%

These cuts take effect June 1 through Citizens Property Insurance, with private carriers filing additional reductions throughout 2026.

For sellers, this expands your qualified buyer pool starting this month. For buyers, lower insurance directly improves what you can afford at today's rates.
