TC TIP TUESDAY: DON’T FORGET TO COUNT THE WEEKEND! 📅

One common mistake I see agents make when calculating contract deadlines is automatically skipping Saturday and Sunday.

Calendar days mean calendar days — unless the contract specifically says otherwise. (Ex. Business days)

That means when you're calculating a deadline, don't automatically assume that weekends (and holidays) don't count. When counting calendar days, you count the weekends and holidays, but if the deadline lands on a weekend or holiday, your deadline moves to the next business day.

📅 Wednesday
📅 Thursday
📅 Friday
📅 Saturday
📅 Sunday

They can all matter when you're counting a contractual timeframe.

And remember: the specific contract form and its time-calculation provision control. Always check the contract before determining a deadline.

Agents, before you head into the weekend, don’t forget to check those escrow deposit deadlines!

If your contract is executed today and calls for a 3-DAY escrow deposit deadline, your escrow deposit is due MONDAY. 📅

Don’t let a Friday contract turn into a Monday deadline surprise!

✔️ Confirm the deadline
✔️ Make sure your buyer is prepared
✔️ Follow up before the weekend
