Fall creativity is in full bloom at St. Joes and Haywood House!🍂

Residents brought the cozy colors of the season indoors during a festive community wreath-making event hosted by local artist Phoenix Soul and St. Joes Resident Service Coordinator Raquel La Reina. Neighbors gathered to get creative, connect, and craft one-of-a-kind autumn wreaths that now add a warm, welcoming touch to residents’ doors. It was the perfect way to turn over a new leaf and celebrate the start of fall together!

As Hispanic Heritage Month comes to a close, we continue to celebrate the partnerships, people, and cultures that make our communities stronger!

We sat down with Mayra I. Negrón-Roche, COO of Inquilinos Boricuas en Acción (IBA), to discuss the organization’s more than 50 years of work creating affordable housing and supportive programming in Boston’s South End, while preserving and celebrating the Puerto Rican and Latino heritage at the heart of the community.
 
As Inquilinos Boricuas en Acción ‘s management partner, we are proud that our onsite team shares the Latino and Puerto Rican heritage that is so deeply woven into this community, bringing a personal connection and understanding to the residents we serve.
