On Mother's Day I joined my husband for an appraisal inspection at a church-turned-home. It was so lovely and the owner used creative ways to add living space and make it feel like a home instead of a church. Lively babbling creek is just behind the lot and can be heard outside. Always good to keep a finger on the pulse of the market!

Congratulations to Sergeant Evan Davis!

Earlier this week, we celebrated the promotion of Evan Davis, swearing him in as the newest Sergeant at the WPD. Sgt. Davis started with the WPD in 2012 and has served in several different roles and responsibilities in the Department, including Patrol, T.A.C. Unit, Investigations, the Special Response Team, and Honor Guard. He brings this experience, his hard work, and a dedication to serve to his new role as he will help lead our Criminal Investigations Division.

Congratulations to Sgt. Davis, we look forward to what is ahead for you and this agency!

I hope this bill passes as it could help many buyers (and sellers) here in Haywood and surrounding counties. 🏡💰🏡

A bipartisan Senate bill would expand the Farm Credit System's rural home loan program from towns under 2,500 people to cities under 10,000, opening up flexible financing to an additional 29.9 million homebuyers. The bill also expands loans for accessory dwelling units. "It is too hard for too many people to land a home mortgage," said Sen. Cindy Hyde-Smith.
