They are also worth inspecting carefully. Look for condensation between panes, staining near frames, damaged seals, difficult operation and signs of water intrusion. Consider heat exposure, privacy and whether window treatments or automated shades are already integrated.

Square footage can tell you how much space a property offers, but it cannot tell you how that space will feel.

Two homes with similar measurements can live very differently depending on ceiling height, circulation, room placement, sightlines and the connection between indoor and outdoor areas. A well-considered floor plan can make a residence feel generous without relying on unnecessary space.

When touring, move through the home slowly. Notice whether private rooms feel appropriately separated, whether entertaining areas connect naturally and whether hallways or transitional spaces serve a clear purpose. Consider furniture placement too. Architectural photographs do not always reveal how a room functions once it is furnished.
