We get this question a lot!

The role of a notary is to serve as an impartial witness and help protect the public from fraud. Notaries perform several critical functions, including:

✅ Verifying the identity of signers

✅ Confirming that individuals are signing willingly and voluntarily

✅ Assessing whether signers appear aware of what they are signing

✅ Administering oaths and affirmations

✅ Witnessing signatures on important documents

✅ Completing notarial certificates as required by law

✅ Helping deter fraud and forgery

✅ Providing an additional layer of trust and authenticity to signed documents

Notaries do not determine the truthfulness of a document's contents, provide legal advice or decide whether an agreement is fair.

In our roles, we need to adhere to every step of the notarial ceremony set by the state to help ensure the integrity of the signing.

Every notarization that we perform helps promote trust, accountability, and confidence and important personal, legal and business matters.

Less than a week ago we were in Orlando for the National Notary Association Conference and we're still on cloud nine! It was so wonderful to catch up with old friends and even meet new friends, the time always goes by too quickly.

🚨 Avoid delays at your notarization appointment 🚨

In the State of Wisconsin, identification issues are one of the most common reasons notarizations cannot be completed.

Before your appointment, please note:

✔️ A government-issued photo ID is required
✔️ ID must be current or expired no more than 3 years
✔️ ID must be in acceptable condition and sufficiently identify the signer

🔎 Identification must meet Wisconsin requirements and will be reviewed at the time of your appointment.

No acceptable ID?

✔️ A credible witness may be used if all legal requirements are met.

⚠️ The witness must be present and properly identified.

📌 If you have questions about your identification, please contact me in advance. Final determination is made at the time of notarization.

Another trip around the sun and I’m feeling incredibly grateful✨✨✨

This past year has been full of unforgettable moments. From opening a new office, traveling all the way to Alaska, attending conferences, enjoying some amazing food, meeting incredible people, and most importantly—helping so many wonderful clients along the way.
