President Trump signed the “One Big Beautiful Bill Act” on July 4, 2025. It adds major new fees for many immigration applications — including asylum, work permits, TPS, and more. Some fees took effect immediately, others will follow soon.

Protect yourself from fraud - many of the Registries of Deeds in Massachusetts have now set up a Consumer Notification System - you can sign up for the service and the Registry will send you an email if anything gets recorded against your property. You can sign up for the program here:

This service alerts you by email whenever a new document is recorded for your property. If you made this change, you don’t need to do anything. If you did not, you should contact your local Registry of Deeds office.
