This should be a great event discussing current feminism. Plus, as it is being hosted by the Belgian Embassy, there will be beer!

It's a busy week at American University Washington College of Law, and here is another exciting event TOMORROW! A presentation on the book, The Age of Women, and a discussion about feminism led by the Senior Vice President and GC of the World Bank, Sandie Okoro, The UN Executive Director Phumzile Mlambo-Ngucka, Belgium's Deputy Prime Minister Alexandre De Croo, The President of AU Sylvia Burwell, and others. Reception to follow! Wednesday, April 10 at 4pm in the WCL Ceremonial Classroom.

In an effort to ensure the respect of democracy in the EU in 2014 the Commission created a new ‘Framework’ to strengthen the rule of law. Despite the insistence by the EP (and many scholars), the Commission framework was not used in connection with constitutional reforms in Hungary, but it was launched for the very first time in January 2016 against Poland.
