I can’t say enough fabulous things about the Community Table! I don’t attend the Methodist Church, and that doesn’t matter! This program led by (our own) Amanda and TJ Bullock, among others, selflessly feeds 230 people in our community every single week on Wednesday night and for Sunday breakfast.

The Community Table meets people in their most urgent need. A warm meal, a conversation during meal, a helping hand.

BELVUE, KS: Garrett Barr is an incredible young teen. He has courageously undergone a stem cell transplant, and now is bouncing back as his immune system continues to recover. Garrett is a terrific brother to 7 siblings and one in the way! The family needs our help to combat the home’s underlying toxic mold issues that make recovery from a stem cell transplant even MORE difficult. What were you doing on October 1? The Kaufman family in Moundridge KS will never forget. Today, October 1 was diagnosis day. The day time stops. Everything that mattered in your world… no longer does. The day aggressive, inoperable, terminal hits far too close to home. The day Maddie knew despite her parents brave forced smiles that she was not ok. So it is fitting today, as Maddie navigates Heaven, that she would visit to remind us we can ALL take time to help someone we may never know. That was Maddie — a lover of Jesus, her family, animals and laughter. Always comforting those around her, that she was just fine even as her body failed.
