Bill Caruso was among a group of invited guests who testified at yesterday’s public hearing on boating safety. An avid sea kayaker and distance paddler, Bill volunteers his time and expertise as an American Canoe Association (ACA) Board Member, Chair of the Regional Activity Council, and New Jersey State Director for the ACA. Archer attorneys and staff were proud to participate in the Chamber of Commerce Southern New Jersey’s Day of Service, joining fellow members of the business community to give back to our region.

Two teams of Archer employees rolled up their sleeves to support local nonprofits making a meaningful difference in our communities. One team sorted and quality-checked donated books for BookSmiles, which helps bring books to underserved communities across South Jersey. The other assembled hygiene kits at the Cherry Hill Free Clinic, which provides free primary care to uninsured and underinsured individuals.

We’re grateful for the opportunity to support these impactful organizations and join our fellow CCSNJ members in strengthening the communities we call home.

Archer congratulates Misericordia University on its announcement of the Misericordia University School of Law, which will become the first law school located in Northeastern Pennsylvania when it welcomes its inaugural class in 2028.

Archer partner Mark Oberstaedt, a Misericordia alumnus and member of the university's Board of Trustees, was among the speakers at yesterday's announcement. Mark shared how proud he is, as both a lawyer and a Misericordia alumnus, to see his alma mater recognize this need and take action. He expressed confidence that the university will build a law school the entire region can be proud of. Until now, aspiring attorneys in Northeastern Pennsylvania have had to leave the area to pursue their legal education.

As envisioned, the school will build on Misericordia's century-long tradition of preparing graduates for lives of professional excellence and service, grounded in the university's commitment to strengthening communities, protecting rights, and advancing justice.

We look forward to watching this milestone unfold.

Introduced by NBC10 News Anchor Erin Coleman, Archer President Marc Rollo shared remarks reflecting on our firm’s longstanding relationship with Cathedral Kitchen and the organization’s extraordinary impact across the community before introducing keynote speaker General Assembly Speaker Craig Coughlin. Archer partner Maureen Coghlan’s service on Cathedral Kitchen’s Board of Directors speaks to the depth of that relationship.

Cathedral Kitchen’s work extends far beyond putting food on the table. Through its comprehensive support services, culinary arts training program, and social enterprise, the organization continues to meet evolving community needs with compassion, innovation, and an unwavering commitment to its neighbors. A former Philadelphia City Solicitor and accomplished trial lawyer, she brings decades of experience, deep relationships across the city’s legal, business and civic communities, and a strong track record of leadership to this role.
