The Trump coin is the latest way to troll the left, with the U.S. Treasurer encouraging Americans to spend them at “liberal coffee shops.”

But can a coffee shop legally refuse one?

Under federal law, yes. Being “legal tender” does not require a private business to accept a particular bill or coin for a retail purchase. A shop can accept a $1 bill and refuse a Trump $1 coin.

State law can change the answer. New York requires covered businesses to accept cash, including U.S. coins, subject to certain exceptions. Virginia has no comparable requirement.

Virginia’s HB 984 would have required businesses to accept cash for retail purchases. It failed this year and is not law.

So a liberal coffee shop in Virginia can generally say, “We don’t accept Trump coins.”

In New York, that refusal could cost the shop more than the coffee.

VIRGINIA'S ATTORNEY GENERAL IS PREPARING FOR A SHOWDOWN WITH FEDERAL LAW ENFORCEMENT ON ELECTION DAY.

The Virginia's Attorney General and Department of Elections issued a remarkable 10-page directive to election officials.

Here's what they're being told:

Pages 4–5: Local registrars can deny ordinary DOJ election monitors access to polling locations.

Page 7: Election officials should ask federal agents to leave polling locations and contact local police.

Page 7: Document federal agents' badge numbers, weapons, vehicles, and movements. Collect complaints from voters who say federal agents frighten them.

Pages 8–9: Consult attorneys about challenging federal subpoenas seeking election materials.

Page 3: And while all this is happening, Virginia has eliminated the ability to challenge a voter's qualifications at the polling place.

Think about what we're witnessing.

The Attorney General is preparing election officials to scrutinize federal law enforcement while Virginia has eliminated a longstanding Election Day safeguard for questioning voter eligibility.

The bulletin identifies no specific planned unlawful federal operation in Virginia. Federal law enforcement has legitimate authority to enforce federal election laws. State officials cannot override that authority simply because they dislike federal involvement.

So what exactly is the Attorney General afraid federal investigators might discover? And why is the Commonwealth treating federal election oversight as a threat rather than an opportunity to demonstrate election integrity?

I warned everyone last week that Virginia has a law that requires compliance with Federal Law to own a Short Barrel R***e. Failure to comply with state law is a Class 4 felony in Virginia. The ATF is still processing Form 1 and Form 4.

Maryland just released guidance consistent with my message. While Virginia has not released any guidance - it is imperative that anyone buying or making a SBR - go through the Form 1 or Form 4 process to avoid possible state Court prosecution.

**ATTENTION VIRGINIA SHERIFFS AND POLICE CHIEFS:**

The Virginia General Assembly passed HB 702, requiring every local law enforcement agency to develop a fi***rm buyback policy by January 1, 2028.

---------But here's what Richmond can't make you do: Actually operate a gun buyback program.

The law requires you to create a policy. It does NOT require you to hold buyback events, purchase fi***rms, or participate in a program.

My advice to Virginia sheriffs and police chiefs: Adopt a compliant policy, but understand that participation is entirely voluntary.

Virginia Code § 15.2-915.6.

Here is some model language for any Virginia law enforcement agency to put in its "compliance with Democrat BS file":

President Trump has overridden SecWar and the ex*****on will not be live streamed.

George Washington would disagree. He thought ex*****ons - especially military ex*****ons should be public to serve as a warning to others and was quoted in the Thomas Hickey ex*****on:

“The unhappy Fate of Thomas Hickey, executed this day for Mutiny, Sedition and Treachery, the General hopes will be a warning to every Soldier, in the Army, to avoid those crimes, and all others, so disgraceful to the character of a Soldier, and pernicious to his country, whose pay he receives and Bread he eats.”

Hasan was a soldier when he murdered his fellow soldiers. He murdered his fellow soldiers to protect the Taliban they were going to fight.

He will be executed. But it will not be public. At least this decision will make Senator Warner happy.

According to the company - there was never ever a cornucopia.

I know for a fact that there was one because when I was in grade school, we had a spelling contest and the word cornucopia came up, and when it was asked to be used in a sentence, the teacher said, cornucopia the thing that holds the fruit on the fruit of the loom underwear.

My entire class laughed so hard. It’s a clear memory. It absolutely happened.

It’s a crime to hold yourself out as a lawyer in most states - including California - when you’re not licensed. A bar complaint has been filed in California alleging she is not licensed anywhere. She can’t be licensed in China because she is not a Chinese citizen.

If she doesn’t have a law license - she may go to jail for this.

Anthony Scaramucci served 11 days in this role. My bet is she will be gone before Friday.

Maybe they should look to replace her with someone that doesn’t work on Fox News.

Virginia Democrats: making students safer, one bill at a time.

Except… explain this one.

SB272, signed by Governor Spanberger, extended Virginia’s state building fi***rm prohibition to public university buildings. Off-duty State Police officers remain exempt. Off-duty local police officers and sheriff’s deputies do not have the same exemption.

Let me explain.

An off-duty Virginia State trooper attending a JMU basketball game inside its arena is exempt from that statutory prohibition. An off-duty Harrisonburg police officer attending the SAME GAME with a concealed fi***rm is not.

Same arena. Same crowd. Two sworn police officers. Different treatment.

Apparently, a State Police badge makes someone safer and more trustworthy than a local police badge?

What an embarrassment.

Our local officers are trusted to respond when someone starts shooting. But when those same officers attend a game with their families, this law treats them as second-class officers.

If a mass shooting broke out, wouldn’t you want trained police officers in the crowd equipped to protect themselves, their families, and your children?

If this distinction makes students safer, Democrats should explain how.

“Trust us. We know best” isn’t an answer.
